Copper Mountain begins making snow, to open Nov. 2

It’s 82 F outside, and it’s almost ski season.

At least, that’s the word from Copper Mountain. The ski resort — which is currently 58 F, certainly better fall and winter weather than Boulder — has announced that it’s begun making snow for the 2012-2013 skiing and snowboarding season.

And season pass holders at Copper can get started before the official opening date of Nov. 2. The U.S. Speed Center, an early-season full-length race, is holding the VIP Preview Contest at Copper. Season ticket holders can enter on Facebook to win lift tickets before the season even opens.
