WAHOO’S TURNS 25

In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Wahoo’s Fish Taco is offering a new special on the 25th of each month.

On Feb. 25, the self-described Mexican/Brazilian/Asian restaurant will offer scratch-off coupons. Visitors can win a surprise menu item, and Wahoo’s will launch a new menu item March 25.

The franchise, with restaurants across the country, is also launching a loyalty card for customers. Customers who visit a Wahoo’s every month are entered to win an unnamed grand prize at the end of the year.

WHOLE FOODS CELEBRATES “ALL THINGS RED CARPET”

In honor of the Oscars, Whole Foods on Pearl Street will host weekend activities dedicated to the awards and will provide snack ideas for red carpet gatherings.

On Feb. 22 at 5 p.m, a class will teach attendees how to make their own body scrubs, face pillows and healthy hors d’oeuvres. (Space is limited and reservations are required; see the store location’s website for details.)

On Feb. 23, Whole Foods “team members will be dressed as your favorite stars,” a press release says, and a red carpet will be provided for shoppers to enjoy photo opportunities. The store will also be suggesting food ideas for red-carpet-themed get-togethers.

FREE FOOD AND FARM FILM

Chipotle will sponsor the screening of a documentary on farms at 6 p.m. Feb. 22 on the University of Colorado campus.

American Meat, which Chipotle describes in a press release as a “pro-farmer documentary” on livestock production in the U.S., will screen free in the 1B50 classroom of the Humanities building.
