FIGO! GELATO TO BE NATIONALLY DISTRIBUTED

Local ice cream company Boulder Homemade Inc. will nationally launch its USDA certified organic gelato Figo! at the Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, Calif., on March 7.

Made with milk from organic Colorado dairies in a wind-powered and zero-waste facility, Figo! is egg-less, gluten-free and comes in BPA-free packaging.

Figo! will be available in eight different pint-sized flavors such as Chocolate Duet, Coconut Almond Chip and Cool Limone.

Beginning this spring, Boulder Homemade Inc. will be nationally distributed starting in natural food stores and supermarkets in the Rocky Mountain region.

SPRING CLEANING

Shine Restaurant and Gathering Place will host Dr. John Douillard at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 2, for a free, one-hour-long talk on how to safely detoxify at home.

Douillard will give insight on two detox programs intended to strengthen digestion by de-stagnating the liver, lymph, balance weight and blood sugar.

Focusing on the Ayurvedic cleanse, which aims to bring the body to balance, Douillard will walk through mental strategies to help break old patterns of eating behavior.
