A cracked screen ain’t no thang for the winner of Boulder’s best computer repair: the Apple Retail Store. Come at the right time and your tech may double as your technological therapist, listening to the tragic story of how you knocked over an open bottle of kombucha directly on top of your keyboard. Whatever your conundrum, the staff at Apple know what they are doing and understand the importance of a well-functioning machine.

When Outstanding in the Field announced its July 2013 farm-to-table dinner at Munson Farms, the company named Munson one of its favorite farms to work with out of the hundreds they visit each year, from California to Maine. The farm is as beloved by locals as it is by out-of-towners, winning the best farm title again this year. Bob Munson runs the farm with his sons, Chris and Mike, and keeps a busy schedule that sees the summer produce of tomatoes and leafy greens into a fall filled with squash and sweet corn — some of which is transformed into their homemade popcorn — replaced in cooler months with a pumpkin patch and Christmas trees. The season’s best is available at their farm stand at the corner of 75th Street and Valmont and at local farmers’ markets.

Got friends or family coming into town? Recommend this year’s winner for best hotel, St. Julien Hotel & Spa, for posh rooms, luxurious common areas, fireplaces and armchairs. And that’s only the beginning. Guests can pamper themselves in the 10,000-square-foot spa and fitness center, too. The Hotel Boulderado takes second place this year. It’s awesome, too, in a more historic way. Ask for help from the friendly staff, because otherwise you can get mixed up by the hotel’s separate wings. No, room 215 doesn’t necessarily have to be near room 216. Why? Because the Boulderado is historic, that’s why.
