Contest winner gets ‘boot camp’

Fitness for Living is holding a contest in which one Boulder County company will win a four-week fitness program for its employees.

Contest entries are being accepted until Feb. 5, and the “boot camp” for employees will run from Feb. 22 to March 19.

“This is a great way for companies to help support their employees’ new year’s resolutions,” said David Clair, founder and director of Fitness for Living. “Plus, they will see immediate results with team members who are re-energized and ready to work.”

A recent report by the Centers for Disease Control revealed that comprehensive onsite health programs can lead to more than 25 percent reductions each in absenteeism, health care costs and disability/worker’s compensation costs. The long-term return on investment for such programs is estimated to be $3-$6 for each dollar spent.

The boot camp includes exercises like calisthenics, jumping, stair climbing, running, squats, crunches, pull-ups and push-ups.

The entry form and complete details can be obtained at www.fitliv.com/better_business or by calling Fitness for Living at 303-550-3491.
