News that Macy’s intends to include a SeaWorld float in its celebrated Thanksgiving Day Parade has led a Boulder group dedicated to defending oceans to oppose the inclusion of the float.
The Oceanic Preservation Society has released a statement opposing the float, accusing SeaWorld of “the cruelty of marine mammal captivity” and urging supporters to post to Macy’s Facebook page or donate to send copies of the documentary film The Cove to Macy’s executives.
The OPS hopes to stop Macy’s from including the float, the email says.
