Thursday, April 17: Pickin’ for Peace. 6 p.m. till the cows come home. Nomad Theatre, 1410 Quince Ave., Boulder, 720-444-6981.

Tickets available at www.RMPJC.org or Pickin’ for Peace on Facebook.

Two amazing concerts in one night and all for a worthy cause, not to mention that Breckenridge Brewery will be providing the beer. The first concert starts at 6 p.m. and will feature the legendary John McCutcheon and Alice DiMicele. The second show starts at 9 p.m. and will feature Leftover Salmon’s Vince Herman and Andy Thorn with Alice DiMicele. We shouldn’t have to tell you not to miss these shows.

But the best part of all is that this celebration is in support of our friends at the Rocky Mountain Peace and Justice Center and it’s in remembrance of the 100-year anniversary of the Ludlow massacre that took place in Colorado’s southern coalfields and changed the labor movement forever.

There will be an intermission party from 8-9 p.m. with beer, food and a silent auction.Â
