JUL-IPA FESTIVAL BENEFITS SAFEHOUSE WITH BREWERS AND BBQ 

Summer in all its glory will be taking place at the Millennium Harvest House gardens this Saturday, July 19 from 1-5 p.m. when music, barbecue smoke in the air, and tipsy patrons converge at the second annual Jul- IPA Festival.

Put on by the West End Tavern, 35 national breweries (mostly from Colorado) will pitch tents to serve their “best and baddest” India Pale Ales. The West End Tavern will be serving smoked chicken, pork, brisket, ribs, beans and more. There will be live music, a Wing King Challenge — featured on Man v. Food where participants try to eat 50 wings in 30 minutes — and a $5 raffle to win tickets for the Great American Beer Festival, a Phish concert and a condo stay in Utah among others.

Tickets are $35 (includes a commemorative glass and samples from all breweries) and 100 percent of the proceeds go to Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence, a human rights organization committed to ending interpersonal violence. YOUR WORLD KITCHEN CATERING OFFERED AT NOODLES AND COMPANY 

Noodles and Company, the fast-casual restaurant chain serving classic noodle and pasta dishes from around the world, has recently launched a catering program.

The catering program includes buffet-style meals comprised of two main entrées, including favorites like Penne Rosa to Indonesian Peanut Sauté, two sides chosen from a wide selection of salads or the cheesy garlic bread, and a dessert where you can either mix and match or go for one single item, like the Snoodledoodle cookies.

Catering serves groups of 20 to 200 people. Price per head is $12 and at pickup includes chafing dishes and fuel to keep the entrées warm, utensils, plates and napkins. To create a customized menu (including dietary preferences) call your local Noodles and Company. A 24-hour notice is required and delivery is available at select locations.

FRASCA FOOD AND WINE CELEBRATES 10 YEARS WITH CUSTOMER-DRIVEN MENU 

During Frasca’s 10-year-anniversary week, Aug. 4-9, the restaurant will provide a special customer-curated menu of “greatest hits” to be served a la carte.

The fine dining Italian restaurant that has a seasonal menu and gets its inspiration from Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy, asked its loyal patrons to submit their favorite dishes by July 9. Some of the items to make the specialty menu (which will have three choices per course) are favorites like the shaved pork and cherries or peaches and the peanut butter cup dessert.

Frasca Partner and Master Sommelier Bobby Stuckey said the thing he is most proud of during 10 years of business is providing insurance for the staff since year one.

Fans who sent in food submissions will automatically be entered into a prize drawing including a four-course dinner for two at Frasca, a set of cookbooks from past guest chefs or a mixed case of Scarpetta wine. PMG WINE BAR TO REPLACE BEEHIVE RESTAURANT 

Beehive, the farm-to-table restaurant that opened nearly two years ago at 2018 10th St. (behind Pasta Jays and Sushi Tora), has closed its doors. Now, the prime spot is making room for PMG; a wine bar and restaurant with a tentative opening date of Aug. 1.

PMG Owner and Boulder native Emily Gold says she is excited to open a restaurant in the community she loves and that the food will be French- and Italian-inspired, made simply with fresh, local ingredients, and the wide variety of international wines will be “delicious and fun” at affordable prices.

“Basically, we want to take away the intimidation factor and create a space where everyone is invited to drink tasty bottles, away from fine dining and regardless of how much they know,” Gold says.
