Colorado Shakespeare 'monitoring weather'

Possibility of show cancellations

By Josh Gross

Boulder is currently facing a flashflood warning expected to last through later on Wednesday, July 30, with at least 1-2 inches of rain expected.

Since Colorado Shakespeare Festival performs some of its plays outdoors, it's paying close attention.

CSF sent out this press release about the weather.

Colorado Shakespeare Festival monitoring weather warnings for July 29 performance of 'Merry Wives'

The Colorado Shakespeare Festival is monitoring the weather situation for tonight's 6:30 performance of "The Merry Wives of Windsor,"due to forecasts of heavy rain and flash-flood warnings issued by the National Weather Service for Boulder between 2 p.m. today and 6 p.m. Wednesday.

As of noon, CSF has not canceled tonight’s 6:30 p.m. performance. The festival will revisit the situation and issue an update at its website, coloradoshakes.org, around 4:30 p.m. today.
