Movie-goers no longer have to decide about where to eat dinner before or after their show, because the greatly anticipated Cinebarre Boulder is combining food with a flick.

The cinema-eatery that has taken over the 20-yearold Louisville Regal Colony Square Theater is having its grand opening for the public Friday, Aug. 1, at 1164 W. Dillon Road. Stepping inside the new facility you will be greeted by a circular, fully stocked bar in the lobby with 24 taps including local breweries like Avery, Great Divide and Odell.

When you take a seat in the new plush leather rocking seats, a long table countertop will be in front of you with a paper and pencil to place your food and drink orders before, or even during the movie.

You can stick to the regular candy and popcorn, but if you’re in the mood for a hefty meal, Cinebarre will offer a three-course menu, specialty cocktails, and even a breakfast menu for the earlybirds. Typical Cinebarre items include chicken fingers, hot wings, specialty pizzas and burgers ranging from $8-$13, ice cream and baked goods around $7, and specialty cocktails like the Moscow Mule for $9. Boulder’s menu and prices have yet to be revealed, but according to Kaitlin Sullivan of PR firm SMAK Strategies, it will have all new specialty items including kale for those wanting to stay on the healthy side.

JILL’S RESTAURANT LAUNCHES “OOH LÀ LÀ LUNCH” BUDGET FRENCH BUFFET 

Jill’s Restaurant located inside the St Julien Hotel & Spa launched their new lunch menu on July 30 called “Ooh Là Là Lunch,” featuring buffet-served dishes from France’s southern regions.

Inspired by Jill’s culinary team (who hail from southern France), the new menu will be available Monday-Friday from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. for $12.95 a person. It includes one glass of rose wine from Rosede Provence, and a rotating menu that includes southern French vegetables, pastas, seafood, chicken, lamb, herbs, cheeses and olive oil. Salads, flatbread, tartines (open-faced sandwiches with different spreads) and a variety of desserts like macaroons, creme brulee and cream puffs will also be served. NATIONAL FARMERS’ MARKET WEEK AND FARM-TO-NEIGHBORHOOD DINNERS 

National Farmers’ Market Week is Aug. 3-9 and Boulder County Farmers’ Market is setting up special occasions for people to get to know their produce and farmers a little better.

Events like Monday’s $10 “Yoga and Wine in the Gardens” hosts an evening yoga session at Oxford Gardens in Niwot followed by a glass of wine and tour of the farm, while the Farmers’ Market Dinner at the Black Cat Restaurant (really taking place at Bramble & Hare) will focus on local Black Cat-raised pork and vegetables served by owners and farmers, Eric and Jill Skokan, on Tuesday night. Friday’s cheese-making workshops and goat tours will take place at Haystack Mountain Goat Dairy in Longmont for $20, and veggie harvesting at the Red Wagon and Cure farms (including some fresh-farm gelato) will be free on Wednesday and Thursday respectively.

And if you need a bigger farm fixing, BCFM farmers are pairing up with chefs and restaurants to put on “Farm-to-Neighborhood Dinners.” The first held on July 27 took place in Longmont, where Oxford Gardens and Ollin Farms (both BCFM vendors) paired up with Blooming Beets Kitchen of Boulder to provide a large meal for about 30-plus people outdoors.
