On Feb. 11, Boulder police arrested a 23-year-old Denver man on charges of DUI, reckless driving, violation of bail bonds, driving while license revoked and false reporting after he was spotted driving erratically.

The suspect was stopped by a commander at 28th Frontage Road and East College Avenue and was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

When he was booked into the jail, it was determined he was wearing a court-ordered ankle bracelet to monitor his blood-alcohol level.

He had allegedly placed a plastic wrapper between his skin and the monitor in hopes that it would not obtain an accurate reading.
