15 local restaurants deliver 'Hungry for Change' to help vets

By Marissa Hermanson

On Veterans Day, Nov. 11, RSVP of Boulder County, the Carriage House Community Table and Veterans Helping Veterans Now (VHV Now) are getting together with 15 Boulder County restaurants to deliver “Hungry for Change,” an event to help local veterans.

The 15 restaurants throughout Boulder County will donate 15 percent of their gross sales on Veteran’s Day to those three nonprofits.

For details on participating restaurants, click here.

“While only about 11 percent of America’s population is comprised of veterans, the national homeless population has a disproportionate number of veterans,” says Judy Nogg of RSVP and VHV Now. “In fact, 25 percent of homeless people are veterans.”

Residents can help out Boulder County’s veterans by eating at one of those 15 restaurants on
Veterans Day.
