The City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) will host a fall open house at historic Green Mountain Lodge on Saturday, Oct. 8, from noon to 4 p.m.
Green Mountain Lodge is located at the terminus of the Ranger, Long and Gregory Canyon Trails near Realization Point on Flagstaff Road, 3.4 miles up from Baseline. Visitors will be able to see the inside of the newly restored lodge while enjoying some light refreshments.
Parking is limited at Realization Point, so for visitors who would prefer not to drive, OSMP is offering an autumn colors hike. The hike, which will include exploration of the area and a visit to Green Mountain Lodge, will leave the Chautauqua Ranger Cottage at 10 a.m. and should be back at the Ranger Cottage by 2 p.m. Hikers are asked to be prepared for unpredictable Colorado weather (hat, sunscreen, jacket, rain gear, snacks and plenty of water).
The lodge is now available for rental. To rent the lodge, go to the Visitor
Information/Shelter and Facility Rental link at www.osmp.org. For more information, call OSMP at 303-441-3440.
