By Amanda Moutinho

The national tour will kick off in Denver, playing Aug. 14 to Sept. 2 at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House.

Created by University of Colorado alumni and South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker, along with Avenue Q creator Robert Lopez, Book of Mormon tells the story of two young Mormons who are assigned to Uganda for their mission trip.

The musical picked up nine Tony Awards, including best musical, in 2011.

Tickets start at $35. To purchase tickets go to denvercenter.org or call 303-893-4100.

Wow tickets for Book Of Mormon Denver shows sold fast!  It didn't help that the DCPA site crashed during the onsale and their phones went down too... There are a lot of people who were unable to buy tickets because of the technical diffictulties and I am one of them.  I see that tickets are now for sale on sites like Stubhub or TicketTrump.com, but will the prices ever go down???
