Yet another conservative politician has hitched his wagon to a liberal band. Rep. Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney’s pick for Republican vice presidential candidate, has listed notoriously liberal Rage Against the Machine as one of his favorite groups.
That very odd decision came to the attention of former Rage guitarist Tom Morello, who penned an op-ed for Rolling Stone responding to Ryan’s choice. In the article, Morello thoroughly takes down Ryan’s politics and illustrates the differences between Ryan’s worldview and the band’s.
