Donating to a popular GOP candidate? Beware look-alike sites

Screenshot

Yes, the website does disclose the name of the political action committee (PAC) in a few places. At the bottom, there's even a brief disclaimer.

But a mystery PAC is creating sites that look a lot like the real candidates' websites, and some say their whole goal is to steal donations intended to go straight to the candidates.

CAPE PAC, a conservative group, has created look-alike pages for multiple Republican candidates, including Mitt Romney, John Boehner and Michelle Bachmann. The pages include a large "DONATE" button at the top and typically feature photos and descriptions of the candidates and their positions on the issues. But donations don't go to the candidates.
