Domain host GoDaddy.com said today its service outage Sept. 10 was not the result of hackers, contesting a claim by a member of Anonymous who said he (or she) had hacked the hosting service.
GoDaddy sites suffered hours of outages, causing customers to vent on social media about their sites being down. Many suspected the company had been hacked, and an Anonymous member claimed on Twitter that he’d hacked GoDaddy.
It’s not true, the well-known hosting service says. The outage was the result of a GoDaddy server error.
