Britain’s newest royal family member has already had her first tabloid scandal. But this time the royal family isn’t taking it sitting down.
Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, and the rest of the royal family are suing French magazine Closer for publishing photos of the duchess and her husband on vacation in France. The photos depict Kate topless.
A French editor and photographer — the latter as yet unidentified — could face up to a year in jail and thousands of euros in fines for publishing the images if the royals win the suit.
No similar suit is yet forthcoming for the Irish and Italian publications that also published topless photos.
