Available from June to October, the box will be full of 100 percent Colorado-grown produce from more than 15 local farms. The box will also be customizable, since customers will have the ability to make substitutions and add additional items.

In addition, every Monday in March $1 of every pint sold will benefit the Kiwanis Club of the Foothills Service Dogs for Kids Project. The money goes to help train service dogs that are donated to children afflicted with debilitating allergies and disabilities.

Oyster Month benefits EFAA, the Emergency Family Assistance Association, which helps to meet the needs for food, shelter and other basic necessities to families in need. The event will also benefit The Gathering Place, a safe daytime refuge for selfsufficiency for women and children.
