Centro’s executive chef, Ian Clark, will prepare a pig roast at 3 p.m., with live music from Mariachi Regional starting at 5 p.m. A donation of $25 for the all-you-can-eat pig barbecue is requested, and includes two drinks. Tickets will also be available for a chance to break piņatas containing candy, gift cards to Centro and coupons for Top Rope Lager.

Tidbites l Meat, meet cheese

Boulder cheese shop Cured will offer a course from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on March 29 entitled “Cheese and Meat, a Love Affair.” We heard from condiments that cheese and meat weren’t together any more, and condiments said they heard from grains that tea actually saw meat with vegetables. But perhaps this class can reignite what cheese and meat once had. If not, sparks will fly.

At the Boulder’s Best Mixologist competition on March 11, the top prize went to SALT bistro bar manager Adrian Sutevski for his cocktail of vodka, blood-orange-and-rosemary simple syrup, lime juice, agave nectar and soda. The contest was held at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art.

Boulder-based Justin’s will launch an all-natural candy bar line at the Natural Products Expo West this week in Anaheim, Calif. Available in three gourmet flavors — Milk Chocolate Peanut, Dark Chocolate Peanut and Milk Chocolate Almond — Justin’s Candy Bars are a blend of organic chocolate, nuts, caramel and nougat.
