Reality: Obama's support of the protests has been weak. Eleven days into the protest Obama has made only one brief statement of mild support during an interview with a Wisconsin television affiliate. He has failed to visit Wisconsin or other states facing similar challenges, nor made any direct statements from the White House.

(Re: 'Keep your laws off patients' brownies,' Uncensored, Feb. 17.) When this legislator says that there aren't any studies about dosing with cannabis, she is dead wrong. She just hasn't done any research. In 1988, DEA Judge Francis Lawn had the gall to hold hearings on cannabis, and he released his findings after nearly three months of testimony.

The article about 'Frankenfoods' by Jefferson Dodge was well-written and included quotes from some credible sources. However, it missed an important point. The salient issue concerning GM crops is that they are genetically manipulated specifically to withstand the herbicide Roundup.

My girlfriend and I are both runners, her being much more serious and running five to 20 miles most days. She enjoys running the hilly trails around Boulder and often encounters dogs. Leashed dogs rarely cause a problem, but dogs off leash will sometimes run at her and trip her up.

Before starting, I would like to clarify two things. First, I am the owner of a medical marijuana center located in east Boulder and in operation since August of 2009. Second, I want it to be clearly understood that there has not been one day that I take for granted the enormous growth in acceptance of medical marijuana.

During this time of recession/depression, many cities, counties and states are broke, too. It has become evident that Boulder County Public Health Department (BCPHD) is using body art businesses as a cash cow to supplement revenue. Body artists are not wealthy people and have little recourse to fight the system.

Julian Assanges exposure of the infamous helicopter footage was (despite his Michael Moore-esque editing) a laudable act. The release of the Iraq memos was more questionable; while it revealed questionable behavior by U.S. and Iraqi forces, some of the exposures were at best reckless and at worst sociopathic.
