Energy efficiency upgrades offered

The City of Boulder is giving owners of rental properties free energy-efficiency upgrades as part of the SmartRegs project. The program is providing a limited number of case study properties with an energy analysis and energy efficiency retrofits to help the city measure the costs and benefits of the SmartRegs proposal to be delivered to City Council in early summer 2010.

Police seek break-in suspect

Boulder Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating one of the suspects in the Jan. 10 break-in at a building housing a medical marijuana dispensary at 1121 Broadway. Police arrested a 23-year-old Denver transient, identified as Robert Michael Grant, but another suspect got away.

Project YES hosts MLK march

On Jan. 18, Project YES will hold a march and rally for peace in Lafayette to honor Martin Luther King, Jr. The fifth annual Martin Luther King Jr. March for Peace, originally conceived by service-learning students at Pioneer Elementary School, begins at noon with a peace walk from the corner of South Boulder Road and South Public Road to the rally at Escuela Bilingue Pioneer Elementary School.
