KBCO's 22nd Studio C album drops Dec. 4

Posted By: David Accomazzo

It's that time of year again: turkey, family, hellish airport travel with invasive body rubs given by eager high school dropouts — er, highly qualified professionals.

Oh yeah, and KBCO drops its world-famous fundraising CD.

The 22nd version of the Studio C brand hits Ultimate Electronics shelves across Colorado on Dec. 4. Proceeds benefit the Boulder County AIDS Project and Food Bank of the Rockies. CDs cost $12 each, and customers can only buy two each.

Buy one. They make great stocking stuffers, and it's for a good cause.

Highlights: "Kandi" by One eskimO, "1901" by Phoenix, "Boom Sh-Boom" by Martin Sexton, to name a few. There are quite a few good tracks on this one.

Lows: The typical, bland adult alternative filler of which KBCO is so fond. Every KBCO CD is bound to have some of this, and this year is no exception. Think O.A.R's "Shattered (Turn The Car Around)" and Jack Johnson's "Better Together."

Here's the tracklist:

1) The Doobie Brothers — "Nobody"

2) One eskimO — "Kandi"

3) Jack Johnson — "Better Together"

4) Sarah McLachlan — "Loving You Is Easy"

5) Phoenix — "1901"

6) Goo Goo Dolls — "Home"

7) Ray LaMontagne & The Pariah Dogs — "Beg Steal Or Borrow"

8) Broken Bells — "The High Road"

9) Corinne Bailey Rae — "The Blackest Lily"

10) Big Head Todd and the Monsters — "Beautiful"

11) Jay Farrar and Benjamin Gibbard — "These Roads Don't Move"

12) O.A.R. — "Shattered (Turn the Car Around)

13) Natalie Merchant — "The Man in the Wilderness"

14) Martin Sexton — "Boom Sh-Boom"

15) The Avett Brothers — "I and Love and You"

16) Alpha Rev — "New Morning"

17) Mary Chapin Carpenter — "The Way I Feel"

18) Jakob Dylan — "Nothing But the Whole Wide World"

19) John Hiatt and Lyle Lovett — "Thing Called Love"

20) Moby  — "Pale Horses"
