Comedian and political commentator Bill Maher will perform at Macky Auditorium on Saturday, April 9 at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale Saturday, Feb. 5 at 10 a.m. and start at $55 plus service charges (thank you, Ticketmaster).
Bill Maher began his career as a stand-up comedian. He moved to television in 1993 when he launched the political talk show Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher, first on Comedy Central and then on ABC. The network canceled the show in 2002 after Maher made some controversial comments about 9/11 hijackers. Then, in 2003, he became the host of Real Time with Bill Maher on HBO.
