New [NSFW] documentary explores Juggalo culture

Posted By: David Accomazzo

A new documentary called "American Juggalo" is making the rounds on the Internet this week, and it's too good not to share. It documents the subculture that follows Insane Clown Posse, and it's the most engrossing 23 minutes you'll watch all year.

Brooklyn filmmaker Sean Dunne went to the 2011 Gathering of the Juggalos, Insane Clown Posse's annual festival that draws thousands of fans to Cave-in-Rock, Ill. "Juggalos," the term diehard ICP fans have given themselves, have a seedy reputation for violence, mischief and other tomfoolery, but Dunne doesn't editorialize. Instead, he interviews juggalos of all shapes, sizes and colors, and he lets the fans speak for themselves. Juggalos talk about culture and family, and you emerge with the feeling that juggalos are more like Midwestern Deadheads than scary delinquents.

Be warned: this video contains a few shots of naked women and is probably not safe for work (NSFW). You have been warned.
