‘Dark Knight Rises’ composer writes song for Aurora shooting victims

Posted By: Sebastian Murdock
-

In the wake of the murders in Aurora at an opening night screening of The Dark Knight Rises, the author of the film's score, Hans Zimmer, hopes to inspire hope while raising money for the victims of the Aurora shooting with his newly composed song, “Aurora.”

The new song, available now for download, was composed by Zimmer in London in the immediate days following the tragedy. Listeners can hear an excerpt of the song before purchasing, and can choose to give anywhere from 10 cents to $2,500 in support of the victims.

All proceeds will be donated to the Aurora Victim Relief fund through GivingFirst.org. The song will also be available on iTunes.
