Dr. Dre might never really need to release Detox. The long-awaited album has been delayed for years, but that’s not slowing down Dre a bit: The Los Angeles rapper is number 1 on Forbes‘ list of the top earners in hip-hop.
Dre’s windfall has come courtesy of Beats by Dr. Dre, the premium headphones he’s produced since 2008. Beats by Dre are the top-selling headphones over $100 in the country.
Second on the list is another rapper who doesn’t rap: Diddy, whose last album was released in 2010.
