Beau Jo’s serving gluten-free crust
Beau Jo’s Colorado Style Pizza will be serving gluten-free crust from the Gluten Free Bistro of Boulder. As a part of the bistro’s safe dining program, each Beau Jo’s location has undergone training on how to handle gluten-free items. The bistro was founded by three gluten-intolerant Boulder locals who were dissatisfied with the gluten-free foods available. A Black Cat Thanksgiving
This Thanksgiving, Black Cat Farm Table Bistro will be serving a holiday meal created by chef Eric Skokan. There is no fixed price for the meal, as guests are encouraged to pay what they can. A donation box will be available for each guest to pay what they feel their meal was worth, or to leave a little more and help out someone less fortunate. A portion of the proceeds will go to Community Food Share. Rolling seating will begin at 2 p.m. Thanksgiving day. For reservations, call 303-444-1500.
King Soopers welcomes DRY Soda
Seattle-based DRY Soda is now available in most Colorado King Soopers locations. DRY Soda is a four-ingredient, all-natural, lesssweet soda with flavors including cucumber, lavender, rhubarb, vanilla bean, juniper berry, blood orange and wild lime. The DRY Soda Tasting Truck is spending the month of November in Colorado, sampling their most popular flavors.
Black Friday dinner special
The Hideaway Steakhouse in Westminster is offering a “Black Friday Dinner Party.” The Prime Rib Dinner Special will include soup or salad, a choice of two sides and a glass of red or white house wine, all for $29.95 per person. There will also be $5 specialty drinks and live entertainment featuring Ralph Nichols. Reservations are recommended, and can be made by calling 303-404-9939.
Dark beer for a good cause
Wynkoop Brewing Company is hosting this year’s “Parade of Darks” fundraiser for Metro CareRing, a hunger relief program based in Denver. The event will feature more than 60 beers from the nation’s top brewers and will take place from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 3. The beer list includes holiday seasonal beers, amber ales, porters, stouts, barley wines, Belgian beers, sour beers and more. The breweries are donating their beer.
All of the ticket sales for “Parade of Darks” go to Metro CareRing.
Tickets are $30 the day of the event. Admission will be limited to 300 attendees.
