Bacaro’s new summer drinks

To help cool off this summer, Bácaro has added new drink concoctions to its menu, including Sangria, Limoncello, Orancello and Mentacello. A white Sangria made from peach and mango puree, peach liquor, house wine and ginger ale is among the newest Sangrias offered.

The drinks are made in-house using organic ingredients from Old World recipes, such as organic lemons, oranges and mint. Happy hour happens daily from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

Colorado Winefest uncorked

Colorado citizens will get a chance to celebrate the first annual Colorado Winefest at The Shops at Northfield Stapleton in Denver June 9-11.

The festival falls at the end of Colorado Wine Week, which began on June 5. Festivalgoers will have the opportunity to sample wines from nearly 100 different wineries and local restaurants as well as attend wine seminars, dinners and chef demos.

Boulder native and Top Chef winner Hosea Rosenberg will join four other professional chefs in cooking signature dishes for a five-course VIP dinner on Friday, June 10, at 7 p.m.

Like Palisade’s Colorado Mountain Winefest, proceeds from the Colorado Winefest will be donated to the Colorado Association for Viticulture and Enology for education, research, seminars and equipment to further grape-growing and winemaking in Colorado.

Ticket prices vary by event and run from $35 to $200. For more information about individual events or to buy tickets, visit www.coloradowinefest.com.
