Tidbites | Race day hunger? Cured.

0

Before you settle in to watch the USA Pro Challenge bike race Aug. 25, head over to Cured for a special tour day lunch bag.

Cured owner Will Frishkorn, a former pro cyclist himself, will be offering up lunch served in a special Garmin-Sharp-Barracuda musette bag. Replete with sandwich, sparkling beverage, chips and an apple, energy should be no problem as you observe the sixth stage of the race downtown.

There are only 100 lunches available, so they won’t last all day. Call 720-389-8096 or visit Cured at 1825 B Pearl Street to reserve your lunch bag.

TOSSA PARTY FOR ALL OF US

In addition to specials all week, fast-casual joint Tossa Pizza will host a live viewing party of the USA Pro Challenge on Aug. 25.

Around noon, race enthusiasts will have a front row seat to the race, as cyclists pass the corner of Arapahoe and Folsom. Enjoy specialty pizzas made with race riders’ favorite toppings, and reap a discount on all signature pizzas. They will also be raffling off a professional-grade road bike valued at $3,000.

Check out the bike and fill out an entry form at Tossa, located at 2400 Arapahoe Ave. Call 720-214- 3254 for information.

FINISH UP AT Q’S

Head over to Q’s Restaurant after the bike race and treat yourself to a special five-course meal cooked up special for its Shore Dinner & Chardonnay Tour, at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 25.

Chef John of Q’s will roll out a menu of Atlantic favorites, as a tribute to a recent Cape Cod vacation. Local produce and carefully chosen Chardonnays will accompany traditional ocean favorites such as Wellfleet oysters, scallops, Maine lobster and swordfish.

Call 303-442-4880 for reservations. The Shore Dinner costs $65 per person.

CRUSH MORE GRAPES

Mateo Restaurant Provençal will double up the fun when it serves another Volio Vino “Farm Fresh” Wine Dinner on Tuesday, Aug. 28.

The eatery heavily influenced by Europe’s Provence region will pair special selections with each of the four courses served. Melon salad, Colorado beef skewers, Colorado striped bass and poached Palisade peaches will be featured during the dinner, which begins at 6 p.m.

The cost of dinner is $50 per person. Mateo is located at 1837 Pearl St. Call 303-443-7766 for details and reservations.
