Snooze coming to Boulder

Chic Denver breakfast eatery Snooze will soon be opening on Pearl Street.

Established in Denver in 2006, Snooze now has two locations in Denver, one in Fort Collins, one in Southglenn, and is anticipating the opening of two new locations: in San Diego and Boulder.

All menu items are made from scratch and include, whenever possible, local, free-range and natural ingredients.

Snooze’s Boulder site will be located at 1617 Pearl St. and is expected to open in September.

Verde joins food-truck scene

Boulder will see another addition to its growing array of mobile food trucks with the introduction of the Verde Food Truck.

Expected to be fully operational in the Boulder area by the end of June, the Verde Food Truck focuses on serving authentic Sonora-style Mexican food — food inspired by the Sonoran deserts of southern California, southern Arizona and northern Mexico.

The menu includes various kinds of burritos, tacos and quesadillas, with most prices ranging from $2 to $6.

Verde will keep updates on its locations posted on its Twitter page and website. More information can be found at verdefoodtruck.com

Pinyon has Father’s Day menu

Rocky Mountain artisanal bistro The Pinyon is offering a special price-fixed (prix fixe) menu on June 19 in honor of Father’s Day.

The Father’s Day menu features a three-course meal of a half-dozen oysters with accoutrements and saltines or a Caesar salad, Sous-Vide Prime Rib or fried chicken and mashed potatoes and green beans, and an ice cream sundae or doughnuts and coffee.

The bistro uses local produce to create a “unique rendition of American cuisine with an innovative take on traditional cooking methods.”

The meal will cost $40.

Reservations can be made by calling 720-306-8248.

The Pinyon is located at 1710 Pearl St.
