It’s the death of a video game era. Again.
Atari Inc. has filed for bankruptcy, prompting some to proclaim this the end of an era for video game fans who might remember the original Pong and other titles. But today’s “Atari” label hardly bears any connection to the company that put out classic games more than 20 years ago.
In fact, since Atari split into two companies with two separate owners in 1984, so there isn’t necessarily any connection to the news of the day.
