Biden rips Romney’s manufacturing record

Vice President Joe Biden turned his manufacturing message into a
personal assault on Mitt Romney Wednesday, launching a point-by-point
attack into the former Massachusetts governor for a record of
outsourcing in the public and private sector.

As he noted Romney’s
support for overseas tax cuts, Biden tied the leading Republican
candidate’s record as the CEO of the corporate restructuring firm Bain
Capital to bills signed during his term as governor, taking time to
linger over one particular point — that Massachusetts government call
center services were outsourced during Romney’s administration.

“It’s no surprise that Massachusetts was losing
manufacturing jobs twice as fast as the rest of the country while
Governor Romney was in charge,” Biden said at a stop in Davenport that
kicked off a multi-day campaign swing for the vice president.
