Tea Party darling Bachmann investigated by House ethics investigators

Rep. Michele Bachmann, the Republican candidate who briefly held the lead in the 2012 presidential primary campaign, now faces numerous investigations and allegations about improper use of campaign funds.

Joining the list of investigators and accusers, which includes former staffers, is the House itself, according to The Daily Beast.

Federal investigators have interviewed former staffers of Bachmann’s campaign, representing the Office of Congressional Ethics. One of the complaints, filed with the federal elections commission by Bachmann’s former top adviser in January, alleges she refused to pay staffers who did not sign confidentiality agreements.
