U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says the U.S. is setting a “red line” on Syria’s treatment of citizen unrest: If Syria uses chemical weapons against its citizens, the U.S. would “take action.”

Clinton was not specific about what action the U.S. would take if that happened. Syria has said it will not use chemical weapons to attack citizens, who have been revolting against the government for months.
