The Corner Bar at Q’s Restaurant in the Boulderado Hotel in downtown Boulder will be hosting a “Brews and Bites” dinner at 4 p.m. on Jan. 18 and Jan. 19.

The first course will include cauliflower and bacon perogie, a petite mixed greens salad, mustard beer sauce and Blue Moon Vintage Blonde Ale. The second course will feature beer-battered fish and chips, Atlantic cod and creamy coleslaw, green apple tartar sauce and Pilsner Urquell. The third course consists of a milk stout cheesecake with chocolate pretzel crust and salted caramel sauce as well as Leinenkugel’s Snowdrift Vanilla Porter.

The cost is $26 per person plus tax and gratuity. Seating is first come, first serve.

DOOR TO DOOR ORGANICS EXPANDS

Door to Door Organics of Lafayette is expanding into parts of New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania, through a partnership with Suburban Organics. In addition to Colorado, Door to Door already has operations based in Illinois, Missouri and Michigan. The two companies have been working together since 2010, with Door to Door helping Suburban Organics expand its product selection and improve its behind-the-scenes technology and operations.

As of Feb. 1, Suburban Organics will officially be part of the Door to Door Organics family, with a new name — Door to Door Organics Tri-State — and a new website.

Door to Door Organics Tri-State’s website will have a new feature, the “Door to Door Organics Kitchen,” offering more than 1,000 chef-tested recipes and an easy “Shop by Recipe” tool to help customers create delicious meals out of the contents of their boxes and shop for any additional items they might need.

GOOD NIGHT, AND GOOD LUCK

SALT the Bistro will host a tequila tasting event featuring Colorado-made Suerte Tequila at 7 p.m. Jan. 23.

SALT Owner and Chef Bradford Heap will prepare Mexican dishes like shrimp tacos, poblano guacamole and pork tostadas to be paired with the top-shelf tequila. Suerte was launched last year and is based in Boulder.

The co-founders of Suerte, Laurence Spiewak and Lance Sokol, will be on hand for the tasting and to teach attendees about tequila. The event will feature cocktails made by SALT mixologists and live music.
