Scarborough: GOP has backed itself into a corner

President Barack Obama’s inauguration speech this week was a sign that he’s taking a firm stand. It was less about collaboration and compromise and more about a definite liberal vision for the U.S., particularly in the areas of gay rights and global warming.

For conservative commentator Joe Scarborough, Obama’s speech was not a surprise. He’s got enough polling backing to make a statement and push for his agenda. And he’s got very little opposition from Republican leaders in the House and Senate. Scarborough says “there is no competent Republican Party or conservative leader with the standing required to effectively fight his agenda.”

But how will Obama’s decisions play out in the 2014 midterm election?
