Never thought you’d wear a watch again? Apple hopes you’ll change your mind.

This year, the tech giant hopes to release the Apple watch, as yet without a fancy i-centric name. The biggest news so far on the wrist-based product is the decision to build it on iOS, the operating system of iPhones and iPads, rather than using the operating system that guided the iPod Nano.

So far, Apple has run into a few problems in development, including a short battery life — yes, you’ll need to charge your next watch — and difficulty integrating the watch with iPhones.
