Study Finds Most U.S. Chicken Contaminated

A new study conducted by Consumer Reports found that most U.S. chicken, even organic brands, was contaminated with potentially harmful bacteria.

From the report…

“More than half of the samples contained fecal contaminants. And about
half of them harbored at least one bacterium that was resistant to three
or more commonly prescribed antibiotics.”

The study was conducted using more than 300 chicken breasts purchased at stores across the country.

Chicken is America’s most popular meat, with the average american consuming approximately 83 pounds annually.
