Man vs. wing

On June 16, the West End Tavern in Boulder will host a screening party for the season premiere of Food Network’s Man v. Food. As part of the special double header, host Adam Richman visits San Diego and then comes to Boulder, where he takes on the West End’s Wing King Challenge. He’ll attempt to eat 50 wings in 30 minutes, a feat accomplished only 14 times out of attempts by 80 others. The watch party will include wing-inspired food and drink specials like the Wing-tini, a blend of tomato vodka, cucumber and hot sauce with a salt-and-pepper rim. Partygoers can also attempt the Mini Wing King Challenge and try to eat six wings in one minute, with a prize of 18 free wings. The party starts at 6 p.m., and the episode airs at 7 p.m. For more information, visit www. thewestendtavern.com or call 303- 444-3535.
