Community Cycles to hold kids’ bike giveaway

0

Community Cycles, a nonprofit organization advocating the
safe use of bicycles, will hold its sixth annual Holiday Kid’s Bike Giveaway on
Sunday, Dec. 18, at Boulder Indoor Cycling, 3550 Frontier Ave. The giveaway
will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Community Cycles has 300 refurbished bikes to give away,
which were collected from the community throughout the year. Boulder Community
Hospital also will give 300 helmets to children who need them. A $25 donation
is suggested per bike, however, no one will be turned away for a lack of funds.
Event proceeds will fund Community Cycles’ advocacy and biking programs.

Parents and guardians who come to the event without their
children present must bring a recent report card or birth certificate for each
child receiving a bike.

Those who would like to donate a bike for the event can call
720-565-6019. To sponsor a child for $25 or a family for $100, visit
