A vine time

Your Place or Vine, an establishment that opened in the Prospect neighborhood of Longmont last May, now serves Colorado spirits like Vodka 14, Leopold Bros. gin and Leopold’s flavored liqueurs for a select martini list.

Your Place or Vine offers happy hour until 6 p.m.

Tuesdays through Thursdays, featuring $1 off beers, $2 off glasses of wine and $2 off flatbreads.

The lounge, located at 2020 Ionosphere St., offers streaming and occasional live music, an outdoor patio, a rotating beer and wine list and a small martini list. Your Place or Vine carries more than 20 wines available by the glass as well as five draft beers.

In addition to flatbreads, the Mediterranean-inspired small-plate menu includes bruschetta, olives, cheese plates, salad and weekly specials like lasagna, tortellini, halibut, salmon and sausage.

A stout month

February will be Stout Month again at all three Mountain Sun pubs: Mountain and Southern Sun Pub & Breweries in Boulder, as well as Vine Street Pub in Denver.

Now in its 19th year, Stout Month features dozens of house stouts, including Oatimus Prime Imperial Oatmeal Stout, Megatron Imperial American Stout, Chocolate Dip Stout, Korova Cream Stout and Old School Irish Stout. The pubs will also be showcasing old favorites like Yonder Mountain Stout and the classic Thunder Head Stout. Once again, they will be brewing a batch of Cherry Dip Stout, as well Coconut Cream Stout, Dark Harvest Pumpkin Stout and Bourbon Barrel Aged Stoked Oak. There is even a stout loaded full of hops: “Trickster Stout.”

For the sixth year in a row, Mountain Sun is also hosting the Stout Homebrew Competition. Their panel of brewers will choose one homebrewer out of more than 50 entries to assist in brewing their own winning recipe on Mountain Sun’s six-barrel system.

There will be special stout month events at all three pubs — check www.mountainsunpub.com for details.
