BEER AND A PIECE OF CHEESE

Kyle Hollingsworth of The String Cheese Incident is more than a musician. He’s a musician with a love of craft beer.

After three consecutive sold-out years, Kyle’s Brew Fest returns to the Boulder Beer Company on July 28 for craft beer exploration, music and fun. The event, which runs from 3 to 7 p.m., will feature more than 30 breweries and 60 craft beers on tap. Kyle’s love of music won’t be far from the mix, because the Kyle Hollingsworth Band will play an exclusive performance for festival-goers.

Tickets cost $25, with all proceeds going to Conscious Alliance, a nonprofit dedicated to youth empowerment and fighting hunger. Visit www.boulderbeer.com/events/kyles-brewfest for more information.

GLUTEN-FREE GRANOLA

Granola just got even better.

Fiona’s Natural Foods Inc., based in Longmont, is now offering its gluten-free granola at the Boulder Farmers’ Market.

The granola is made with certified gluten-free oats, and comes in three varieties: Almond Millet, Cranberry Flax and Sunflower Vanilla Coconut. The only sweetener is organic agave nectar, and the oil used is rice bran oil.

Founder Fiona Simon says she thought it was also time to create gluten-free granola and quinoa bars because there was such a high demand from customers. She is staying true to her commitment of only using natural ingredients, she says, and the bars are produced locally by hand in small batches to ensure quality.

The gluten-free granola can also be found at Lucky’s Market and the Niwot Market.
