PINING FOR COMPANIONSHIP

Stop by Twisted Pine Brewing Aug. 12 for Olympic events as only craft brewers can provide, while funding a good cause.

The event benefits The Puppy Rescue Mission, a nonprofit organization focused on bringing companion animals from war zones back to soldiers in the United States. Twisted Pine will be donating 10 percent of the day’s sales and holding a silent auction in hopes of raising $2,000 for the cause. Patrons can also team up to compete in beer-related events.

The Twisted Pine Brewery Olympics will host a keg relay race, blind keg tapping, beer trivia, a chug-off and more. Call 303-786-9270 for more details.

YOU CAN EAT THE FOOD, TOO

Q’s restaurant is teaming up with Avery Brewing Co. for a summer beer dinner on Aug. 11. Join Q’s chefs at 2115 13th St. as they pair five seasonal courses with some of Avery’s best brews. The event begins at 6:30 p.m.

The dinner costs $40 per person, and participants will be entered into a drawing for an exclusive small group brewery tour at Avery. Call 303-442-4880 for reservations.

BREWER ACES COMMUNITY TEST

For a limited time, Mountain Sun Pub & Breweries will be serving up a new Ace Asian Session Ale in celebration of the new signature brew crafted for the new Ace Restaurant in Denver’s Uptown neighborhood.

The craft brewer has worked in concert with the new restaurant to create the subtle, citrusy ale, which has a crisp finish. After a trial run at the Mountain Sun family of restaurants in the Denver metro area, the ale will make its permanent home at the Asian-inspired ping-pong hall located at 501 17th Ave. in Denver.

YOUR CHARIOT AWAITS

Earlier this summer, Pizzeria da Lupo offered a picnic basket dinner to enjoy anywhere you wish. Now the restaurant is ditching the basket altogether and allowing you to take a whole table with you.

The Table for Two dinner allows you to take Pizzeria da Lupo with you for dinner. For $44, guests arrive at the restaurant for drinks before departing in a Volkswagen van to a location determined by the diners. After arriving at the destination, dinner will be served. An antipasta board, salad, pizza and dessert are included. Guests are allowed to bring their own alcohol.

Call Pizzeria da Lupo at 303-396-6366 for more information and to make reservations.
