Boulder Mountainbike Alliance launches new website

0

The Boulder Mountainbike Alliance was formed in 1991 (originally called the Boulder Offroad Alliance) to give mountain bikers a unified voice in matters pertaining to Boulder County trail use. As advocates of responsible trail patronage, the organization has contributed to the creation and maintenance of many local mountain bike trails. The group also works to educate cyclists and to provide a social network to further encourage group rides while teaching responsible trail ethics.

As land management issues evolved in Boulder, so did the organization, adopting the Boulder Mountainbike Alliance moniker in 2006. Beyond simply building and establishing mountain bike trails, the BMA serves as a calm voice in the heated debates that arise when discussing the potential uses of open space land.

This year brings more changes to BMA, including the introduction of a new logo and the launch of a completely redesigned website at bouldermountainbike.org. The easy-to-navigate and smart layout brings a wealth of information to one place. Everything from trail maps and current conditions, community events, fundraisers, volunteer opportunities and social rides are listed on the site. There is also plenty of information on the organization itself as it has grown in the past 20 years.

Simply put, the new BMA website is the premiere resource for Boulder County mountain biking. If you’re looking for new trails or variations on old favorites, the BMA has you covered. The extensive amount of material available on BMA’s site is easy to find, easy to read and well-maintained. Even in the cold of winter, there are still accurate and up-to-date trail condition reports.

If you’d like to join the BMA or donate to the cause, visit the website or, better yet, make friends at the Sixth Annual Winter Banquet fundraiser being held on Feb. 4 at the St. Julien Hotel in Boulder.
