Preparation at Copper Mountain

Ski season is officially underway across Colorado this coming weekend. Boulder Weekly previously reported on the opening for Arapahoe Basin Sunday, Oct. 13, and it will soon be joined by two other popular ski areas in the high country.

Keystone Resort and Copper Mountain have both announced they will open Friday, Nov. 1. Keystone will have 65 acres open; Copper has not announced how much of the ski area will be open. Copper will be operating the American Eagle chairlift and Easy Rider learning area, as well as its Woodward’s Eagle Terrain Park. Keystone will be operating the River Run gondola and the Summit Express, Montezuma and Ranger ski lifts. Both will open at 9 a.m.
