There’s nothing wrong with indulging every once in a while. It’s easy to do so at Moxie Bread Co. While the renowned Louisville bakery has plenty of breakfast and lunch offerings like sandwiches, salads and avocado toast, its pastry menu is hard to beat. This twice-baked croissant has a crisp outer layer, with a deliciously flaky philo dough center, filled with a mixture of both almond paste and dark chocolate. The sliced almonds on top are nice and crunchy, with a fine dusting of confectioners’ sugar. It’s surprisingly not too sweet, and the perfect treat to enjoy with an afternoon coffee in the sunshine.
