Boehner defends Mitt Romney, overseas jobs

For a long time, congressional Republican leaders have ignored the
presidential campaign, training their attention on strengthening their
own majorities on Capitol Hill.

That changed Wednesday morning.

Speaker John Boehner
(R-Ohio) defended American companies creating jobs overseas, accused
Democrats of trying to distract the country from the sagging economy and
said President Barack Obama’s administration doesn’t “give a damn about middle-class Americans.”

Americans, the speaker said, “are asking, ‘Where are the jobs?’ They’re not asking, ‘Where the hell the tax returns are.’”
