First
Descents is a nonprofit organization based in Boulder that provides
outdoor adventure experiences to promote emotional, psychological and
physical healing for young adults with cancer, ages 18-39. Since its
inception in 2001, First Descents has successfully influenced the lives
of more than 600 young adults with cancer, by hosting one-week adventure
therapy camps that are completely free for participants. First Descents
will host kayaking camps in Vail and climbing camps in Estes Park
throughout the summer.
